Topar

 

an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Michurinskii Raion, Karaganda Oblast, Kazakh SSR. Railroad station situated 39 km south of Karaganda. Population, 11,700 (1975). The settlement is the site of the Karaganda–2 State Regional Electric Power Plant. It has a plant for the manufacture of reinforced-concrete structural members and products. The Karagandinskii Greenhouse Sovkhoz, which raises vegetables, is located in Topar.
