Stettin Lagoon

 

a lagoon off the Baltic Sea, on the coasts of the German Democratic Republic (GDR) and Poland. The Stettin Lagoon measures 33 km in length and 46 km in width. The depth of the shipping channel reaches 8.5 meters. The Oder (Odra) River flows into the lagoon. Its principal port is Szczecin, which is situated on the Oder.
