Journey Of an Young Achiever from a Rural background

Ms. Ummur Rizuana

Asian Council for Education and Research.

Is pleased to Honor this young heart and mind of her humbleness and kindness.

Her story in her words ..

Sitting here reflecting on my journey, I’m chuffed about what’s on the horizon. I’m Ummur Rizuana, a young student with big aspirations. I wrapped up my 10th standard with a solid 90% score, and now I’m working towards kicking my goals.

I’ve always been passionate about languages, which is why I pursued a DALF C1 certification in French. Learning the language and soaking up the culture has been a blast. As I progressed, I realised I wanted to share my knowledge with others, so I started teaching French in schools. It’s been wicked to see my students’ faces light up when they grasp a new concept.

One of my favourite moments as a facilitator was when a student finally got the hang of French verb conjugation. They beamed and said, “Je comprends maintenant!” (I understand now!). Moments like these make teaching so rewarding. I’ve had the chance to work with students of all ages and levels, from primary school kids to adults looking to boost their language skills for work.

As a French facilitator, I’ve developed a range of skills that I’ll take with me throughout my career. I’ve learned to tailor my teaching methods to fit the needs of each student, which has been a challenge, but also incredibly rewarding. I’ve seen students go from struggling to understand basic phrases to holding conversations with native speakers. It’s a fantastic feeling knowing that I’ve played a part in their progress.

Looking ahead, my dream is to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Switzerland, specialising in Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence. I’m fascinated by tech and data science, and I reckon it’s the future. I’m excited to dive into the world of data analysis and AI, and I’m confident that my language skills will be an asset in this field.

After finishing my 12th standard, I’ll be off to Switzerland to start my undergraduate journey. I’m looking forward to immersing myself in a new culture, learning from the best, and expanding my network. I’m excited to meet new people, make friends, and learn from their experiences. I’m also looking forward to exploring the country, trying new foods, and soaking up the Swiss atmosphere.

As I move forward, I’m eager to take on new challenges and opportunities that’ll help me grow as a person and a professional. I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had so far, and I’m excited to make the most of them. I’m aware that there will be obstacles along the way, but I’m ready to face them head-on. I’m confident that my determination, hard work, and passion for learning will see me through.

In conclusion, I’m stoked for what’s to come and I’m ready to take on the journey ahead. I’m excited to see where my passion for languages and technology will take me, and I’m looking forward to making a positive impact in the world. With hard work and dedication, I’m confident that I can achieve my dreams and make a difference.[1]
