Text cut
editI removed the below text which was just tacked on at the end. I am not sure if it needs to be added elsewhere.
Amazon Prime members receive free 2-day shipping for most goods sold directly by Amazon. Customers not interested in expedited shipping can instead opt for normal shipping; by doing so, they receive a chance of winning a coupon. The coupons are mostly for digital freebies like eBooks, which can be redeemed at any time. Additionally, Amazon Prime members also enjoy 2-hour delivery with Prime Now service. Although this service is available for limited goods depending on your location, it can be a great save if you need goods delivered for an emergency. Prime Now is a great option when delivering perishables. However, Prime Now is also available for non-Amazon Prime members at a fee of $5.99 and $8.99 for non-members. The 2-hour delivery applies for all goods ordered before 9 pm every day.

'Amazon Video' and (Amazon) 'Prime Video'
editAmazon Video and (Amazon) Prime Video
editToday I found out what the difference is between Amazon Video and Prime video.
They are basically the Amazon equivalent of BBC One and BBC Two yet when you click on Prime video it redirects to Amazon Video when they should be seperate.
This section - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazon_Prime#Prime_Video says:
The service debuted on September 7, 2006 as Amazon Unbox in the United States. On September 4, 2008, the service was renamed Amazon Video on Demand. The Unbox name still refers to the local program, which as of August 2014 is no longer available for downloading purchased instant videos. On February 22, 2011, the service rebranded as Amazon Instant Video and added access to 5,000 movies and TV shows for Amazon Prime members.
^ A statement which is talking about Amazon Video not Prime Video
It's clear from looking at the website they are still separate things.
Amazon Exclusives are TV Shows/Films which were originally broadcast on a network/channel/service that has nothing to do with Amazon.
Prime Exclusives are TV Shows/Films which were originally broadcast on a network/channel/service that has nothing to do with Amazon.
Amazon Originals are TV Shows/Films which were originally broadcast on Amazon Video.
Prime Originals are TV Shows/Films which were originally broadcast on Prime video.
Prime Video originals seem to be mainly shows for adults, whereas the Amazon Video originals seem to be mainly shows for kids, therefore there's still a clear distinction between them, and should be separated imo. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/video/storefront/ref=sv_atv_0?ie=UTF8&merchId=Originals
Basically they'll play some, but not all Prime Video originals on Amazon Video, the same way BBC Two shows occasionally get played on BBC One.

- There's no question here but if you're looking for a comparison, WP isn't the place for that. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 13:36, 22 April 2018 (UTC)
"Prime's Ability to Drive Consumer Spending"
editI have once again reverted the article to the status quo and will start this discussion myself. There appears to be a lack of consensus whether this statement belongs in the article and if so where. It is my belief that given it is mentioned in multiple third party sources, as cited, then it belongs in the article, regardless of what other editors personal opinions of Costco are, or the differences between online shopping and in person shopping. No one is debating that, the sources are all simply discussing the power to drive consumer spending with their membership programs. I would be amicable to moving the single sentence to a less prominent place in the article if it makes others happier. Thoughts? EoRdE6(Come Talk to Me!) 15:52, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

COI edit request
edit![]() | This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. Some or all of the changes may be promotional in tone. |
Hi – I have a declared WP:COI with the subject of this article. I am requesting two additions for consideration:
- 1 - To add a blurb on the page in a new subsection under “Sub-brands” to include information about the Prime Access membership:
- Prime Access is a discounted membership offering qualifying government assistance recipients and income-verified customers a Prime membership at half of the cost of regular Prime at $6.99 per month. Prime Access includes all the benefits of Prime, including fast, free delivery, everyday low prices across a vast selection including groceries, access to exclusive deals and events like Prime Day, $0 delivery with GrubHub+, access to movies, series, and live sports with Prime Video, Amazon Music, and everyday fuel savings.[1][2]
- 2 - To add to the “2016–present” section to include Prime for Young Adults membership under “Sub-brands”, including its benefits and eligibility requirements.
- On June 17, 2025, Prime Student relaunched as Prime for Young Adults, a discounted membership offering eligible 18-24-year-olds and higher education students a Prime membership at $7.49 a month or $69 per year. Prime for Young Adults includes all the benefits of Prime, including fast, free delivery, everyday low prices on a vast selection including groceries, access to exclusive deals and events like Prime Day $0 delivery with GrubHub+, movies, series, and live sports with Prime Video, Amazon Music, everyday fuel savings, and exclusive perks like 5% cash back on eligible categories.[3][4]

Partly done In reviewing the sources I don't see where it says there are eligibility requirements beyond "18-24" so I'm removing "eligible" as redundant. RedBaron214 (talk) 01:37, 5 April 2026 (UTC)
Suggested edits (COI edit request)
editHi RedBaron214 - since you last reviewed my edit request I'm pinging you as a courtesy, but am open to any editor reviewing the following. I have made a WP:DISCLOSEPAY disclosure on my userpage and will not directly edit the article. I'd like to suggest the addition of content to the history section. The following additions are sourced to CNBC, Reuters, Axios and, in parts that are realistically covered by WP:ABOUTSELF as non-controversial statements of fact, to Amazon itself. Thanks for your consideration. Mattals2026 (talk) 16:58, 6 May 2026 (UTC)
- Amazon Pharmacy launched in November 2020. It sells medications at what Amazon claims are “affordable prices to customers in the United States, with or without insurance". Amazon Pharmacy discloses pricing with Prime and insurance directly on the Amazon site.[7] Amazon Prime membership is integrated with Amazon Pharmacy and allows customers in the United States to order prescription medications for home delivery with pharmacist support. While a Prime membership is not required to use the pharmacy, members may receive benefits such as prescription delivery and access to certain medication discounts. The service accepts insurance plans and prescriptions can be sent by healthcare providers.[8][9][10]
- In February 2026, Amazon launched its Alexa+ AI assistant in the United States. The service is priced at $19.99 per month, with access included for Amazon Prime members.[11][12]
In progress The text seems fine. I'll review the references this week. RedBaron214 (talk) 00:49, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
Partly done The sources check out and I implemented this request with one change: "is priced" to "was priced". I checked and "is" seems to comply with MOS:WAS but the way it's used may conflict with MOS:REALTIME since the price could change in the future and the references only establish the price as of the date of the reference, not at all points in the future without end. It could probably go either way. If anyone disagrees with me, feel free to change back. RedBaron214 (talk) 19:34, 14 May 2026 (UTC)
