Basilio Talatinian, O.F.M. (1913–2015) was a Franciscan Armenian Catholic priest.
A survivor of the Armenian Genocide, his expertise in the Eastern Churches would see him invited to the Second Vatican Council as a peritus.[1] Among over 400 council periti, Talatinian was the only Armenian peritus. He attended all four sessions of the council.[2]
He was ordained in the Latin rite in 1938, and completed a Doctorate in Canon Law in 1942. He continued to teach canon law in Jerusalem for three decades.[3]
Talatinian published several works on the Eastern Churches, especially Armenia.[4]
Talatinian was buried in Jerusalem in 2015 at the age of 102.[5]
