Benoît Larrouquis (born 18 November 1969) is a French politician.[1] A member of Renaissance party (RE), he has been the deputy for the second constituency of French citizens living abroad (Latin America and the Caribbean) since 2025, as substitute for Éléonore Caroit, who was appointed to the Lecornu government as Minister Delegate for Francophonie, International Partnerships and French Nationals Abroad.[2][3] He sits within the Together for the Republic group in the National Assembly.[2]

Professional career

Originally from Haut-Béarn (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), Benoît Larrouquis pursued engineering studies in Paris. After three years of professional life, he settled in Mexico. There, about 20 years ago, he founded Expat Assurance, a health insurance broker specializing in services for French expatriates, of which he is the founding director.[3][2]

Political career

Having lived in Mexico for over 25 years, Benoît Larrouquis is married and the father of a French-Mexican daughter. A member of the Franco-Mexican Chamber of Commerce for over 20 years, he is involved in the committee supporting the development of French businesses abroad.[4] An alternate to Éléonore Caroit since the 2022 French legislative election, he was re-elected as an alternate in the 2024 snap elections.[5] Following Éléonore Caroit's appointment as Minister Delegate on 12 October 2025 in the Lecornu government, Benoît Larrouquis succeeded her in the National Assembly and took his seat there on 13 November 2025.[2][3] A specialist in social and health issues concerning French citizens abroad, he actively participates in the working group on the reform of the Caisse des Français de l'Étranger (CFE).[3]
