Marked (Tattoo Challenge revisited, G)

The young redhead studied the console intently, rubbing absently at his forearm.
"Ah, there you are," the Doctor paused, face clouding over, "What are you doing?"
"Looking for answers," Turlough replied mildly.
"Really?" The Doctor smiled brightly, "Could I help?"
Turlough sneered, "How is it a Time Lord of no great import, in a rackety old Type Forty, manages to keep one step ahead of the Black Guardian?"
The Doctor's expression turned dangerous, "The Black Guardian is outside Earth's temporal awareness."
"The Black Guardian is my past, present, and future, Doctor." He yanked up his sleeve revealing the livid tattoo.
