Confirming a rumored date reported earlier, BTTF.com announced the official date of the upcoming Back to the Future Trilogy via an updated teaser trailer this past weekend at the National DeLorean Car Show in Memphis, Tennessee.

Thanks to our friends at Universal Studios Home Video, we were given the exclusive opportunity to debut an updated version of the DVD teaser trailer we first debuted this past February in Orlando, which now reveals the official street date for the long-awaited domestic release of the Trilogy on DVD six months from today — December 17, 2002!

Figured this might be interest to this group..

I recently picked up a new DVD player, the Malata 520. This player is region free, and can play both PAL (with correct scaling) and NTSC discs. Basically there isn't a dvd out there that won't work in it. Plus it's got progressive scan output and all the standard features like DTS, 5.1 surround output etc. Price seems to run around $270, which seems reasonable given the features. So far I'm quite happy.
The remote is a little weak, but that's easily replaced with a universal.

I know there's a number of foreign movies I've wanted for ages, and now I can get them.

Also, I ordered mine from a place in Canada called NBT Electronics. Player arrived in about a week. I've also seen it for sale at <a href="http://lfvw.com>LFVW</a> which is also a great source for obscure DVDs.

Reading DVD News they state that Universal Studios Home Ent. has scheduled October 1st for the Region 1 release of Le Pacte des loups 'Brotherhood of the Wolf'. I've been waiting for this, much of the action went by too fast at the theatre. I look forward to analyzing it all at home.
