Summary: Second in the series, featuring Klaus from the second season outlines and a vampirized Sophie. In this one, Sophie comes to terms with her new relationship.

Sometimes, he called her Cassandra. In bed, he'd mumble the name during intercourse and when they slept, he'd dream of this woman and it was clear that he hated her with a ferocity that Sophie had never seen before.

She stayed up those nights with one of her former brother's stakes in her hand and she would raise it to Klaus' chest and try to summon the willpower to use it on him.

Then Klaus would turn and he'd smile in his sleep and her willpower would be lost. Angel or demon, he was still a form of Klaus, one that she couldn't let go of just yet.

She appealed to his aesthetic sense by bringing him to the opera and to the theater, trying to catch a glimpse of what she had before, but it wouldn't be long before Klaus would leave their seats and go and gorge himself on another theater goer. The victim would often be a female, one of Sophie's height and build with curly brown hair. Klaus would smile at her when she discovered him with his victim.

"You could be next," he never hesitated to mention.

Sophie kept what she could have her memories, for they were things that he couldn't touch. She kept a lock on the happiest days of her life but the longer she stayed with Klaus, the more those memories turned into sad, bitter shards of glass that hurt her to touch. She would become lost in her sadness and she would turn to him for support.

Klaus only laughed at her misery and then pushed her up against the wall, his teeth within her neck, and the next thing Sophie knew, her legs would be wrapped around Klaus' waist and he'd be pressing into her and taking her again and again until she felt nothing but pain and pleasure entwine within her while he whispered Cassandra's name in her ear.

She no longer knew who she was anymore. All of her paintings were gone. Her violin had been sold and the piano that her former brother had was her only outlet for her frustrations. Those frustrations, however, had to be quickly thrown away in fear of Klaus finding her and deciding to get rid of the piano.

She played happy, festive tunes for him whenever he allowed her to play. She yearned to keep him happy and entertained, for when he was around, she felt wanted and needed.

One day their nightmare would come to a halt. One day, she would wake up. One day, Klaus would kill her. Until that day came, Sophie found herself in the prison she had constantly built for herself. For here was someone who would never leave her. Here, was someone who wanted her. Here was someone who would teach her and keep her in line.

Here was her teacher and she was his willing student.
