“Of course I love you,” he purred against the supple skin at the back of her neck. Dorian kissed his way down the pale creature’s spine. His fingers following along as he stroked her pearly white skin. He pouted as he nibbled along the rise of her ass. The vampire shifted and stretched. His dark eyes looked out over the glittering city in the middle of the Nevada desert that he found himself in. “And I’d do anything for you.”
“I know Dorian,” she said as she turned onto her side. Her fingers twisting and twining in his long dark hair until she pulled his face back painfully. “That’s why I keep you on such a short leash.”
He kept a smile on his face. Twenty years as her pet had taught him that it was best not to annoy her with trivial things. Such as the truth about how much he wanted to kill her, so that he could enjoy the rest of his immortality. But Erica had something that he prized more than anything. She had the portrait. But it was a waiting game. Dorian knew that eventually she would grow tired of his company. The ashen taste of his blood certainly did her no good.
“I shouldn’t have been so good in bed,” he mumbled, earning him another painful yank of his hair.
“Get me wine, Dorian. I’m thirsty, and you taste like an ashtray.” Erica shoved him off of the bed, with a kick of her foot. He tumbled onto the floor, naked, landing on his hands and knees. “No wait, not wine. Bring me someone young and pretty to feed on.”
“As you wish,” he said as he climbed gracefully to his feet. “I’ll just go and freshen up first if you don’t mind. I can catch more flies with honey than vinegar.”

The girl was young and oh so delicate. Exactly what Erica had desired. Dorian even suspected that she might be a virgin; she’d been so young when he’d pulled her out of the orphanage after all.
“Do you know how long I’ve been waiting for this?” he asked, stroking her plump rosy cheek. “Months, ever since I saw you, I knew you’d be perfect for this. I read it in a book you see. An evil plan by two young ones to kill their father, they poisoned the blood they brought him. Of course, I’ve been so much more careful than they were.”
Dorian plunged the needle into a vein and watched as the drugs clouded her pale blue eyes. He watched as a lazy smile spread over her face. “Come along sweetheart. It’s time for you to meet your new mommy.”

The penthouse was empty except for the three of them Dorian, the vampire and the prey. He smiled at his mistress. She was a lovely creature, but she’d started to bore him long before she got nasty enough that he wanted her dead.
“Oh Dorian.” Erica patted the sofa next to her and crooked one long finger at the girl. “She’s perfect.”
“Yes she is. I knew you’d love her.” Dorian had selected her carefully. The girl almost the spitting image of the vampire Princess herself, he knew she couldn’t resist the thought of having her own pet duplicate. Her vanity would demand it. “I’ve been grooming her special for you. I’m glad you sent me to find you someone to drink from.”
Just drink her already, Dorian nearly shouted as he watched her nuzzling the girl. He watched from a nearby wingback chair, with his cane balanced across his knees. It wasn’t the same walking stick that he usually carried around Erica. She’d have never allowed him to keep this one. But she was too busy petting the girl to notice.
Then when he was finally about to give up, just as the clarity was beginning to return to the girl’s eyes, Erica sank her teeth into her throat. He grinned while he watched her guzzle the blood, clutching the girl to her breast. “She’s delicious.”
“Of course,” he said with a smirk. The sword in the cane flashed out with a quick glint of steel. Erica’s head bounced twice before coming to rest against the floor to ceiling window. The smirk spread to a broad smile as her body crumbled to dust. “Good bye Erica. It’s been ever so entertaining.”
