I noticed you signed up to play the CD swap game, if you are still interested please join the 'disctortion' community on LJ (http://www.livejournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=disctortion), making sure you actually join rather than just adding it as a friend, so you have posting access in case there is a problem sending/receiving CDs. I'd be really grateful if you could do this as it would save me having to trawl people's profiles to find their email addresses, and sending out lots of mails when I could just post anything important once on the community. It would also make it easier for me to be certain about which people actually want to participate, and which people are just watching the community even though they don't have access to any recording and/or playing devices. Thanks :)
How it will (hopefully!) work: I gave everyone who signed up (28, although there are a few more people who are still being a bit vague) a number determined by when they filled in the poll, then wrote a randomising number program to pair each number with another between 1 and 28, deciding both to and from whom you will send/receive your CD/tape. Fortunately it turned out that nobody will have to either send their CD to themself, or to their current partner, although I apologise if you've ended up with someone whose taste in music is the absolute opposite to yours! Still, you never know, you might find something you didn't realise you would like, or at the very least, are given the satisfaction of putting the offending CD in a microwave and watching it explode.
I'm not sure whether people would prefer it if I posted the list as viewable to everyone, or just sent each perosn the name and details of whoever they have to send their CD to. The first way is probably more fun as you get a surprise, but as a generally very curious/impatient person I'd like to have the option of getting to see who I will be receiving a parcel from as well. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
If you've changed your mind or at any point decide you don't want to play anymore then please let me know as soon as you can, am hoping to send out details by Monday :)
