Alrighty, so spending the last few weeks in Rive working on hex tiles has been both fun and at times frustrating, however after a bit of back-and-forth with Claude.ai, it reasoned that the hex tile system I had been working on may not be the best interaction for my target audience. It was hard to see any faults with its reasoning, so for now I'm going to put those tiles on hold and double back to building out the Editor and the game client.
This week, I created a shell for my game that includes an adaptive navigation solution, switching from a bottom nav bar on mobile, to a rail on tablets, and a drawer on desktop. The editor, I'm taking an axe to, and rearranging some features, so it'll be another week before it resembles anything useful.
That's all for tonight,
Cheers,
Dan
