DevOps is not easy to learn and you need to give time and there's no fixed steps you can follow, but going down the path of learning with Microsoft Learn is always helpful.

Pretty cool advice honestly. I always end up overthinking before I start anything new, so this makes me want to just mess around with something and see what happens.

Overthinking never leads to a good path. Speaking from my experience :(

Hey Lara, how good are your programming skills as a DevOps engineer? Have you transitioned from a dev role to this or from IT/ops?

Hey Lara, how good are your programming skills as a DevOps engineer?

I consider myself pretty good. I mainly work with Golang and Docker, Kubernetes stuff. There's not much I do with the tech, but yeah, I'm pretty fluent. 😽

Have you transitioned from a dev role to this or from IT/ops?

Nah, I'm from a business background. My entry into tech was kind of unexpected. I got into it through an internship offer in my city and never went back to business after that.
