Designing ITConnect — From a Student Idea to a Real Experience

We’re three Computer Engineering students who noticed something missing:
Young people in tech have skills, motivation, and potential —
but no clear, dedicated space to find jobs or freelance projects.
And companies don’t have one place to find them, either.

So we decided to build that place ourselves.

Before we wrote a single line of code, we opened Figma.

We spent days sketching, discussing, and testing different ideas.
It wasn’t always easy — we had different opinions, different styles — but the goal was clear:
Create a platform that feels simple, purposeful, and human.

We focused on questions like:

• How can a student find the right opportunity in seconds?

• How can a company discover the right person without endless filtering?

• How can everything — from search to interviews — happen in one space?

Here’s what we designed:

• A welcoming home page with a bold mission and instant search

• Clear paths for both sides:
  ➤ Join as Company
  ➤ Join as Worker

• Trust-building sections like testimonials and profile feedback

• Smart dashboards that don’t need explanations

• A clean, smooth flow from “interest” to “interaction”

Figma made it possible to:

✅ Collaborate in real time
✅ Visualize each screen as a full journey
✅ Share drafts with mentors and friends
✅ Improve fast — and often

Designing ITConnect made us realize:
It’s not just about how it looks.
It’s about how it feels to use it — especially when you’re searching for your next big step.
