In a low-code world, I still choose high-code.
Most of my day job revolves around enterprise low-code with OutSystems, for fast delivery, rapid iterations, and visual logic. It works and it scales.
But after hours? That’s when I reach for Python. And Django.
Because there’s a different kind of joy in writing real code.
From my first hello world
in Pascal when I was a kid, to a tic-tac-toe game in Lisp, and even a library system in COBOL… high-code has always drawn me in.
Watching your code come to life, line by line, is a form of art.
And in that creative space, Python remains my go-to language.
JavaScript? I’ve ignored it for years.
Not out of rebellion, just because Python does what I need with clarity and elegance.
Even in 2025, Python and Django remain incredibly relevant:
✅ Simple and readable
✅ Secure and scalable
✅ Fast enough for most web apps
✅ Backed by a massive ecosystem and thriving community
Whether you’re low-code, no-code, or high-code, I’d love to hear your perspective.
What tech do you keep coming back to, even when the industry moves on?
