Learnings and Takeaways
Storyblok's real-time collaboration features were essential for newsroom operations, allowing multiple editors to work on breaking stories simultaneously.
The biggest challenge was optimizing for speed while maintaining rich content experiences. I implemented aggressive caching strategies combined with Storyblok's CDN to achieve sub-second page loads.
Storyblok's webhook system enabled instant social media sharing and email notifications when breaking news was published.
The project highlighted the importance of flexible content structures in journalism, where story formats can vary dramatically from breaking news alerts to long-form investigative pieces.
Journalists particularly appreciated the ability to preview articles across different layouts and social media formats before publication.
