Good news for all you blue-skinned Avatar heads out there: Avatar: Fire and Ash is coming to digital platforms to buy, starting tomorrow.
Directed by James Cameron, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, this is the follow-up to 2022’s Avatar Way of Water, and the third film in the Avatar franchise that first launch over 15 years ago in 2009. Most of the cast from the second film reprises their roles, including Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Stephen Lang, Sigourney Weaver, and more. The story finds Jake (Worthington), Neytiri (Saldana), and their family grieving the recent death of their child, Neteyam. A conflict with a new aggressive tribe leads to even more violence. No, guys, don’t fight!

The film was well-liked by critics, and even won an Oscar for Best Visual Effects earlier this month. That said, even though it was the third highest-grossing film of 2025, it was also the lowest box office of the franchise so far. But before you spend $20 on Avatar 3, read on to find out what we know about the Avatar: Fire and Ash Disney+ release date.

Disney+ offers a number of subscription options, so you can find the one that works for you. With ads, a subscription costs $11.99/month; without ads, it’s $18.99/month or $189.99/year.

The bundles are available in a few different configurations, starting at $11.99/month for Disney+ and Hulu with ads, and going up to $32.99/month for Disney+, Hulu, and Max ad-free.
When will Avatar: Fire and Ash movie be streaming on Disney+?
You might see Avatar: Fire and Ash streaming on Disney+ around June 2026.
The official Avatar: Fire and Ash Disney+ release date has not yet been announced, but we can make an educated guess based on the streaming release of the previous Avatar films. Avatar: Way of Water was released on digital about three months after it opened in theaters, and began streaming on Disney+ (and HBO Max, thanks to a unique 2022 streaming deal, which won’t apply to the third film) a little over five months after the movie opened in theaters.
