Inque is a metahuman with shapeshifting abilities and a mercenary from the future, who gained her powers from a mutagenic treatment by Project Cadmus. She was eventually hired by the Wayne-Powers CEO; Derek Powers to kill Bruce Wayne and the new Batman. She is also a member of the Iniquity Collective and the estranged mother of Deanna Clay.
Inque was created by Robert Goodman, first appearing in the Batman Beyond episode, "Black Out" (1999). Her first appearance in the comics regular continuity took place in Birds of Prey (Volume 5) #20 (2025), by Kelly Thompson.
