Hades is an Olympian god and lord of the underworld, who eventually acts as a super-villain and enemy to Wonder Woman. His kingdom is guarded by Cerberus, and surrounded by the River Styx where Charon ferries souls across. Like all the Olympians, Hades has a counterpart among the Gods of Rome known as Pluto.

Hades was first adapted by Joye Hummel and Harry G. Peter, first appearing in Wonder Woman #16 (1946).
