On Earth-1, when the fallen angel Imogen saw the death of the pastor Zachary, she took a hold of his soul while on its way to Hell and revived him, placing one of her feathers in his hand. Zachary started using the feather's power to heal people, however, the people he blessed would later turn into ghouls, who eventually were defeated by John Constantine and the angel Manny.[1]
The Ghouls also reside on The Bridge, an in-between plane of existence where souls ends up just before being able to reach Heaven. When Earth-9 Donna Troy, Tim Drake and Hank Hall tried to escape the Afterlife, the Ghouls chase them and tried to consume their souls; however, the heroes managed to leave the afterlife by using a metaphysical bridge which made them return their world, while Hank decided to stay behind along with his brother Don.[2]
