HELLO LOVELY! I hope you are excited about the fandom we have in common, because I am excited about getting things to read! Reading about my random obscure fandoms, no matter what they are, is my favorite thing ever.
Anyway, here goes with the general likes and dislikes, before I dive into specifics for each of my requests.
The one thing I absolutely always want in all stories is happy endings.
I'm really easy for character-driven stories. I love pining and secret feelings more than JUST ABOUT ALL THINGS. Also great: people being good at things, people being good friends to one another, and found families. Meet cutes! Breakup-makeup fics! Soulbonds! Friends-to-lovers! Rivals-to-friends-to-lovers! Anything in this extremely important tumblr tag of mine!
I really like romance, but if that doesn't work for you or you'd rather write gen, I love that too, especially found families, and people taking care of each other. I also adore genderfuck stories, especially of the cis-man to cis-woman variety. I'm totally game for AUs, either of the canon-based variety or not.
I like slash and femslash and het, which is fairly relevant to all my requests this year, since I like shippy things in basically all stories. KISSING! KISSING IS GREAT. I'll happily read smut, I don't feel that there's any obligation to put it in a story. That said, if there is smut, I’m not interested in anything abusive or nonconsensual. Oh, and I'm totally game for poly fics, if that's what floats your boat.
The list of things I don't like is pretty straightforward. The biggest, and most unusual, one is that stories about people pretending to be someone's friend in order to prank them or humilate them, friendships falling apart, and infidelity can be triggery for me. I'm not a fan of death, harcore kink, incest, mpreg, omega-verse, knotting, humiliation (as a kink or other as a part of the plot), or eating disorders and self-harm. I also don't particularly care for high school AUs, band AUs, Hogwarts, AUs, or and this is a lot more nebulous, but AUs where the character dynamics don't line up intuitively.
Football Commentator RPF – Jamie Carragher, Gary Neville
Is this incredibly niche? YES IT IS. Is the the most niche thing I requested for Yuletide? NO IT IS NOT. Anyway! Moving on! Commentator pairings are one of my favorite things, and I also really enjoy a rivalry dynamic, so I was pretty much going to be cackling about this before I even knew it was a thing. Teasing! Banter! Teasing that turns into genuine annoyance! Teasing that turns into flirting! That turns into kissing! Arguments that turn into kissing! LOOK AT THIS. LOOK AT THIS CLENCHED JAW.
I'm totally chill about this what are you talking about.
But yeah, I would love a canon or close-to-canon story about their slightly antagonistic friendship dynamic, with lots of teasing. AUs are always good fun as well, though I have fewer ideas about the shape one would take. Secret relationships? People who punch each other and then make out? Romeo and Juliet style? The world is your oyster, really.
The Football Ramble – Pete Donaldson, Marcus Speller
Look, if I don't ask for it for Yuletide, when there's a point-one percent chance someone will write it for me, when am I going to ask for it?
So. Yeah. There's four guys on the podcast, which is a delightfully absurd discussion association football/soccer/big-money kickball—mostly English, but with not entirely. Very funny. The two people I requested flirt a lot. Here is a supercut of about five years of their flirting. It's almost two hours long (57 MB). And here is a mini-primer! And, of course, a link to the podcast website/twitter/instagram for further investigation.
In terms of fic, I'd honestly read anything tropey about them. They're both kind of human disasters, so they'd be perfect for anything that involves being, well, human disasters. Fuckbuddies, maybe, who are denying all their feelings? Or roommates of convenience? Fake dating to deflect a pushy family? Years of dancing around each other terribly while being unaware of their own feelings? TINDER? I mean honestly, anything that involves Pete's well-established terrible drunk texting tendencies will make me happy. Canon or AU. ANYTHING, HONESTLY, AS LONG AS THEY'RE KISSING. Or not kissing, I guess, since once Pete said that he's very cold in that part of his life and Marcus said he'd warm him up one day.

I'm so curious about the world these ladies live in! Are they assassins? Spies? Is it the complex world of centures of intrigue between the powerful families that control different European cities? Or maybe there's magic involved somehow. There's so much potential story, and I don't even particularly need the names to line up with the teams, which is why I didn't specify any characters when I nominated this. But I'd love to read any of the zillions of possible stories. Madrid and Atletico trying to undermine the government of the same country and getting in each other's way, or maybe being forced to work together doing it! Is there a complex boarding school rivalry? Do Schalke and Bayern have a secret tryst? REALLY ANYTHING.
