Incoming high-ranked missions have taken a hit, as predicted. We'll get them back up after a lot of hard work and double-shifts, but damage like this will just have clients doubting our capability to meet their demands. Wars are always bad for business.
Ah, it rained a couple nights ago, making living quarters unpleasantly humid. But we'll all get through it.

...Actually the rain flooded out the tent I was living in. Still hasn't quite dried out yet. I'll just have to hop between whatever I find until then.
In the meantime, I've been avoiding the Council's eye. A new Hokage needs to be found and with the sannin gone and Naruto rejected, tradition has shown the title tends to fall on the village’s strongest. Or at least the one considered their strongest, and I'm aware of the small handful they have in mind.
I'm frankly not interested, and Naruto is more fit and ready for the position than most people realize. Getting them to see that is going to be difficult, especially with a considerable limit on time. Yare-yare, one more thing one my plate.
