advice for purchasing a new gaming laptop?
Hello, you wonderful people!
I'm in the market for a new laptop, of the gaming variety. My upper price limit is about $2200-$2300 USD, or a little less than $3000 if it's a Dell, and I'm not quite sure what my priorities are. You see, while I can occasionally navigate software with decent skill, when it comes to computers themselves, I'm pretty much lost. orz.
The most demanding game I'm going to be playing is The Sims 2, with all expansion packs and stuff packs, and at least 13GB of custom content. -_- Ideally, I would like to play at good graphics settings, but FPS is more important.
I think this means I'm going to need a lot of RAM and...something else? sigh, I don't remember what my friend told me. CPU! Anyway, any insight would be welcome, either into my requirements or into specific computers that would be good for me. Or both!
