my girlfriend is having cd-rom drive troubles...
she has a dell inspiron 4000 series (i believe before they started making them shitty) thats about a year and a half old. its got windows me on there. 192 mb ram, 10gb hard drive, the cd-rom drive is an internal.
we put in a cd and open my computer. the rom drive is listed. we double click on it, and it opens the "please insert a cd into the cd-rom drive" dialog box.
i think we're gonna go get a lens cleaner tomorrow, but it doesnt seem to be dirty. i just wanted to know if there was anything weird i needed to know about this before we break down and buy a new cd-rom drive.
