Slytherin Common Room
Bellatrix stormed through the common room, her robes flying behind her. Spotting her sister sat down near the fire, she stomped over to the chair opposite and slammed her bag down.
"Hello." Andromeda said.
Bellatrix raised her eyebrows. "Well? Aren't you going to ask me what's wrong?"
"Is there anything wrong?", Andromeda asked.
"Thank you for asking" Bellatrix replied. "Yes. Don't you think stupid first years should respect their elders..they just bang into you and don't even say sorry. One day, I'll teach them a lesson.."
"I told you, give 'em a good smack. What are they doing anyway?", Andromeda said curiously.
"If I smacked them, then I would have Lily Evans on my back..I was just walking to the owlery to send mother an owl, if you must know," Bellatrix told her sister.
"Oh psh. Lily can't do anything. Why are you owling Mother?"
"Well, nosy, I was owling her to tell her that Rodolphus declared his love for me...finally," She explained.
"Are you serious? HA!", she laughed.
"What's so funny about that?" Bellatrix asked, her eyes blazing.
"Oh nothing. Hey, I hoped you told her that I had a real live conversation with a real live person the other day.", she said, trying to change the subject.
Her eyes narrowed. "Actually, I wasn't aware you had talked to a person..hopefully that person was of the opposite sex..." she said, smirking.
"Well, Snape is male....", she replied.
"Oooh, Snape," Bellatrix giggled. "What interesting things did he have to say then?"
"Well, apparently, the weather was nice the other day.", she said. "He seemed kinda nervous, and only rambled about the weather."
"Maybe Snape fancies you or something..aww, that would be sweet. Andie and Snapie as a couple," she teased, although she cringed inwardly at the thought.
Andromeda snorted. "That scumball? Ew. Mother would never allow it."
"True. But Mother would also be happy you have a boyfriend...she's getting worried about you," she said.
"Oh, she should know better than to worry about me. I'll be fine. It's just that everyone in our school...well, how many of them will talk about stuff that's more important than what so and so is wearing?"
"Not one of them." she concluded.
"It's Mother we're talking about...she doesn't know better. I actually find it interesting to talk about what people are wearing. What do you like to talk about then? Thats actually interesting," she asked pointedly.
"Well, I don't know. History. Or books or something," she said.
"History and books,"she mimicked. "No wonder you don't have a boyrfriend!"
"Well, I'd rather have no boyfriend than a stupid one," she replied, looking a bit mad.
Bellatrix watched as her sister's face clouded with anger. "Are you saying my boyfriend is stupid?" she asked just as angrily.
"No. But now that I think of it, YES.", she almost yelled. Andromeda turned around, ready to stomp off.
Bellatrix grabbed her sister's arm a little too hard. "You're not going anywhere," she yelled back. "Rodolphus is not stupid. He's positivly the best boy out there/ So there," she finished with a childish remark.
"Whatever. Can I go now?", Andromeda said. This was really starting to annoy her.
"Fine, do whatever you want," Bellatrix snarled. "I'd rather not talk to you when you're like this anyway."
"Like what? Right?"
"When you're in a mood with me. You're getting tedious now," she bent down to pick up her bag. "I'm sure Rodolphus will be happy to be in my company."
"I'm sure he will be. Have fun." Andromeda started her way up the stairs to her dormitary.
"Don't worry, I will," Bellatrix spat after her. She shot an evil look at a first year staring at her, and walked out of the common room.
