Changes for next weekend!
Hey everyone, we all just wanted to let you know what's changing for next weekend. Why am I doing this now? Because I'm about to get started on this week's Featured Diva, and I don't want everyone to be confused when I say there's not one for next week. :) So! Here goes, the changes over Christmas weekend!
- There will be no featured diva next week. It'll resume on December 31st.
- There will be no nightly news on Christmas Day.
- There will be no Diva of the Month on Christmas Day, either.
- The Icon contest voting will end on the 26th, and that's when the new contest goes up.
The reason for all this is we have families too and we have to spend the holiday with them. You all should too. Unless you don't celebrate Christmas, that is.
- There will be no featured diva next week. It'll resume on December 31st.

Featured Diva of the Week: Christy Hemme
Christy won over most WWE fans who were into the Diva Search by being nothing but herself. She is full of personality, and is extremely outgoing and hyper. Some of her more infamous Diva Search moments include the time she made a mess with the ice cream, when she sat on the pie, and when she called Carmella a gutterslut.
The lst week of the Diva Search, she was awarded the contract over Carmella DeCesare, who was the 2004 Playmate of the Year. It was a little bit of a shock victory, as not a lot of people really thought they would give Christy the contract - but for once it appears WWE didn't ignore the fans.
Her first match was a three-on-one bra and panties match that Trish had challenged her to. She lost, but she took it all in stride, gladly showing off what she looked like in her underwear.
She immediately went into a feud with Carmella, who felt that SHE deserved the win and not Christy. It culminated at Taboo Tuesday when they wrestled in a Lingerie Pillow Fight. It was a short match, with the easy victory going to Christy.
Soon after, she found herself in a feud with WWE's top diva, Trish Stratus. Trish didn't like that Christy was apparently, stealing her spotlight. Well, more on the money, she didn't want any of the new divas to be "stealing her spotlight". Things really got heated after Christy showed off her Playboy cover. It fueled the fire, and Trish continuously referred to her as a "slut", even spray painting it on the redhead's back.
Christy then said she wanted to take Trish on for a match at Wrestlemania for the Women's Title. While Trish laughed, she didn't find it quite so funny after she found out that Christy was getting training from one of her worst enemies, Lita. Now, Christy really seemed like she could be a viable contender. Every week, we saw Christy getting more training as she got ready to take Trish on. She lost though, but the important thing was that she really did try her best.
More recently, she got into a feud with Victoria over what was basically the same reason. Victoria felt that she was being pushed aside for all the attention the new divas, especially Christy.
From there she was traded to Smackdown along with Stacy, for Torrie and Candice. She immediately got into a feud with Melina, and joined up with the new Legion of Doom, as well. That not only furthered her feud with Melina, but LOD's feud with MNM as well. Christy really shone in these matches, and she had improved so much more than when she was on Raw.
She continued to feud with Melina up until her unfortunate release. As someone who was very willing to learn and had an obvious passion for the business, I think it was a stupid move on WWE's part. I hope she isn't done with wrestling and goes to TNA to show WWE exactly what they're missing.

CONTEST!
That's right! A new contest! You all know you love a good contest, so keep reading!
We're having a contest for the main banner in our userinfo. It's out of date (six months later, we're still celebrating our first birthday apparently. Who knew?), and we thought that instead of just making our own and putting it up, we should let you guys get involved with it. After all, you guys make this community what it is!
So, what we're looking for is a banner that says "_wwe_divas". You can add additional words if you want (I prefer "the greatest community in the history of the internet", but it's up to you. XD) It will be featured right at the very top of the userinfo, before you even get to the rules/news/etc in there. You can make it any size you want under 600x300, and that includes the border if you add one. 601x300, 602x302, and so on, will NOT be accepted so check those sizes before you enter! Also, you can only enter ONE banner, so make sure it's your best work! You can use any divas you want on the banner, and any colours you want, too. It's all completely up to you - just whatever you think looks good. Let your creativity flow!
Entries are open as of right this very second, and they will close on Friday, December 29th, 2006, at midnight EST. On December 30th, I will put up a poll which will run until January 6th, 2006, giving you a week to vote for your favourite banner. The one that wins the majority of votes will be the one placed in the userinfo.

Christmas Weekend Changes!
Hey everyone, as you all know, Christmas Eve is one week away, and at this time last year, I made a post talking about what would and what would not be happening over Christmas, so once again, here is your run down of what changes in the community at Christmas.
-There will be no icon contest over Christmas week. This week's contest will go on as normal, and we will announce the winner early in the afternoon on the 24th, but then the contest will take a one-week hiatus. We know everyone is busy around this time, us included, and we don't want you guys to try to squeeze in time to make an icon or two.
-There will be no Nightly News on Christmas Day.
-There will also be no Diva of the Month on Christmas Day.
-Everything runs as planned on Christmas Eve, though.
As always, the reason for these changes is that we're pretty much not home on Christmas Day, and our computer time is rather limited. Thanks for understanding, and happy holidays to all of you!

Armageddon preview
There is yet another pay per view tonight and here is your look at all things Diva in preparation for it:
William Regal & Dave Taylor have been a constant nuisance to the WWE Tag Team Champions Paul London & Brian Kendrick. Regal & Taylor have interfered in contests the champions took part in, and have cost London & Kendrick matches with their distracting behavior and vicious attacks. The two teams will face each other this Sunday at Armageddon, and the WWE Tag Team Championships will be on the line.
At Armageddon, Chavo Guerrero will get a chance at the United States Championship gold currently held by his former friend and bitter rival, Chris Benoit. The rivalry between the two veteran Superstars has been brewing since Benoit’s return. Recently, Benoit has speculated that Chavo and his business partner Vickie Guerrero are up to some sort of scheme.
Chavo viciously attacked Chris Benoit after a match with Tatanka and the two have been trading victories in their matches ever since. When Benoit accidentally knocked Vickie off the ring apron injuring her neck, Chavo and Vickie began referring to the Rabid Wolverine as a woman beater.
Will Chavo be able to capture the United States Championship from his former friend? Catch Armageddon live on pay-per-view to find out.

Like last year, this is back again as the year winds down. 2007 went by fast, huh?
This will be done in two parts - part 1, is more about the Divas themselves. Part 2, which will be posted on December 17th, will focus on newcomers, matches and moments, trades and other assorted questions. I will post the results together on the 21st, giving you four days to vote in both parts. It should be enough, time right? :) It's a good way to get the views of everyone, and hey, who doesn't like polls?
Please remember that this is only for the year 2007, so all debuts must have been in the 2007 calendar year! From January 1st to now - and if you vote for someone who debuted in 2006, the vote just doesn't count. Save yourself the keystrokes! No one will see the results but me until they're up so please vote completely honestly! Happy voting everyone!
