The name of the Jewish priest (or circumciser, called a mohel) who performed Jesus' circumcision isn't recorded in the Bible or historical texts, but Jewish tradition holds it was done by a trained circumciser, possibly the father Joseph or a designated mohel, as part of the Brit Milah (covenant of circumcision) ceremony when Jesus was eight days old. Christian art sometimes depicts the venerable Simeon the God-Receiver performing the ritual, though this is symbolic, as Simeon was involved in presenting Jesus at the Temple later. In Christian tradition, particularly in art, the figure of Simeon (the man who blessed Jesus in the Temple) is sometimes shown performing the circumcision, but this is a devotional artistic interpretation, not a historical record of the circumciser, according to this ResearchGate article.
