A new Avengers: Doomsday leak gives us our first potential look at the costumes for all of the main characters in the film, including the returning X-Men heroes. It’s no secret that Avengers: Doomsday is one of the most anticipated movies on the horizon thanks to the fact it will feature Doctor Doom’s first MCU appearance and be the first Avengers film since Endgame. There’s a lot riding on this movie and Marvel is sparing no expense to bring it to life. A ton of legacy X-Men characters are returning for Avengers: Doomsday to conclude the Multiverse saga. It’s not fully clear what their role will be, but it will likely be the result of an incursion, an event that essentially causes two universes to collide.

Marvel has done a good job of keeping things a big secret as Avengers: Doomsday just wrapped production and true, credible leaks were kept to a minimum. However, the wrap party for the film has actually resulted in a few leaks ironically. The latest example is a gift that crew were given for working on the film. UK-based makeup artist Gionvanna Ponci posted a picture on Instagram of a bag that she was gifted for working on Avengers: Doomsday and the bag seems to reveal a bunch of costumes/looks for characters in the film. The bag features a Brady Bunch-esque style collage of all the main characters in the film, including the X-Men heroes.
Avengers: Doomsday Leak Reveals Every Character’s Costume

The bag reveals that the X-Men heroes have very classic costumes with Cyclops sporting his signature blue and yellow suit with the red visor, Beast looks comic accurate, and Mystique is wearing an outfit that resembles her white and black costume from the comics. In the films, she was often seen nude, but it seems she will have a consistent outfit this time. Nightcrawler will also have a suit that is similar to his comic book look instead of the trench coat he wore in X-2. It seems like Magneto may also be on the bag, but he’s obscured by a label in the photo that was posted.
As for the rest of the heroes in Avengers: Doomsday, there aren’t too many major changes to their usual looks. There appear to be some tweaks for some characters like Thor, but nothing too radical. The only two that stand out are Namor who appears to have his black vest with the popped collar and a mysterious character at the bottom of the bag. The last character in the line-up appears to be Franklin, who has grown up a bit since Fantastic Four: The First Steps. That’s not entirely surprising, because he was more of a toddler in the post-credits scene for Fantastic Four. In that scene, we see Franklin interacting with Doctor Doom, but it’s unclear what will happen to the child.
Of course, it should be noted that while this does seem to come from a good source, you should take it with a grain of salt. Not only could this be a big hoax, but these designs could change between now and release. Marvel has changed character designs in the past, so nothing is locked until the movie is actually released.
It’s unclear when we will get our first official, proper look at Avengers: Doomsday. If we’re lucky, we might get it in December attached to the release of Avatar: Fire and Ash. The Odyssey recently released a trailer to promote the film exactly one year ahead of its release and it was a successful marketing technique. Marvel may echo this strategy, especially since Doomsday was delayed from an May 2026 release date and is now releasing in December 2026. Marvel may have already been planning the first trailer for this December and could give us a brief teaser alongside what will be one of the biggest films this year.
If that doesn’t happen, the next likely window could be May 2026 which is when The Mandalorian and Grogu releases. It would make sense to start marketing the movie about six months before its release and it would lead perfectly into Spider-Man: Brand New Day, releasing just a couple of months after that.
Avengers: Doomsday will release on December 18th, 2026. What do you think? Leave a comment below and join the conversation now in the ComicBook Forum!
