‘Countdown’ Creator Offers a Troubling Season 2 Update
Wow, talk about negative clickbait. Dude clearly said he expects a S@, but isn't going to stress it, as that is out of his hands, and you come up with this header?? Slow week? every Wednesday, when the next episode airs, Countdown jumps back to the #2 spot. I'd say Haas and Amazon nailed their promotion of this show, and the audience is coming back regularly. No thanks to your clickbait, tho.
Jensen Ackles’ Thriller Series Continues Clash With 100% Rotten Tomatoes ‘Bosch’ Spin-Off on Streaming Charts
I think it is funny that critics presume to know the tastes of the general audience so much. You keep going on about the 100% Rotten Tomatoes score, but as an audience member, I watched one episode of Ballard and quit. It was OK, and artsy, but just didn't hold my interest. The beginning of countdown was messy and episode 1 didn't thrill me, but it piqued my interest. Now, 8 episodes into it, I am awaiting every Wednesday for a new drop. A show can be beautifully made and appeal to critic's tastes, but if it doesn't grab the audience, what's the point?
Jensen Ackles’ ‘Terminal List’ Replacement Climbs Streaming Charts as Its Rotten Tomatoes Score Finally Rises
I love the show. Agree it isn't likely to get any Emmys this season, but it's fun and exciting and I enjoy watching Jensen and the rest of the cast. Can't wait for Wednesdays to come.
Jensen Ackles' 31% Rotten Tomatoes Action Drama Loses Momentum on Streaming
Countdown is fun and fast paced action. If you like that, then you will like this show. What critics don't get is that sometimes people just want entertainment. It's not that deep. If you watch any Jason Statham movie, you will get the idea. People will tune in for their favorites, and Jensen Ackles and Eric Dane have some fans. I think the viewing numbers will hold steady for the summer for Countdown. People just enjoy it. As for the critics, they take themselves too seriously but should this show get picked up for S2 I do think David Haas should get a few for writers in the writers' room. My biggest criticism of the show is the dialogue. It is awkward in certain scenes.
