As a life-long liberal AND a gay man, these lists just annoy the hell out of me. Maybe it's becuase I'm 50 and don't look for reasons to be offended by every little thing. There's a saying I love: "Offense is something that can never be given, it can only be taken." I wish more people would remember that.
I think if anything, Jack Sparrow should be a cameo or secondary character and focus on a grip of new characters, but Depp should still be in it for sure.
I LOVED M.O.D.O.K. He was so uncanny it was hilarious. Also, Jaws 3D had no cgi, as it was not a thing yet. And i agree with Brian that Sharknado is supposed to be bad cgi and Lawnmover Man was too ambitious for what it wanted to do with the technology of the time.
I actually really enjoyed the Total Recall remake. It had some very cool action scenes. And both versions are fairly different than the original story. And I thought the Thing remake/ prequel was actually pretty good as well.
I think the Skeleton Key is severely underrated. Not only is the final twist great, but if you rewatch it, you realize they are basically giving you all the information to figure out the ending, but you don't know that until you get to the end. That's pretty impressive.
