Author Details
Jake is a senior author at Collider and a first-class film graduate with a Masters degree in scriptwriting. As a professional scriptwriter and director, his documentary and fiction shorts have taken him across his home country of the United Kingdom to several film festivals. You can check out his IMDb via this link.
An avid fan of TV and film, he is an expert on both Doctor Who and Phoebe Waller-Bridge - with the latter the subject of his university dissertation - and when not glued to his laptop, he loves to spend time out for a drink with friends, attempting a triple-viewing at his local cinema, or watching his beloved Liverpool Football Club.
Favorite Media
Doctor Who will always be Jake's most cherished franchise, but his love for 90s British sitcom The Royle Family also knows no bounds, with the first two episodes of the series airing either side of his birth; it's safe to say he wasn't watching at the time.
When it comes to movies, Jake is always down at his local cinema in Bath, England, and he enjoyed being a sitting member of the adjudication panel for the Bath Film Festival's shorts team for several years. Jake's four favorite films are:
- Little Miss Sunshine (2006)
- Aftersun (2022)
- Parasite (2019)
- Synecdoche, New York (2008)
