Switzerland doesn’t grow coffee beans… yet it is the world’s 2nd largest coffee exporter by value! 🇨🇭☕️ Swiss coffee exports are worth more than chocolate’s and cheese’s combined! So how? Coffee beans from around the world are imported to Switzerland, where they’re roasted and transformed into premium portioned products like capsules, instant coffee and other high-end specialties, before being exported worldwide. The country became a global hub for coffee trading and developed a real “Coffee Valley”, bringing together major coffee companies, traders and experts. Its success also comes from Swiss suppliers of high-precision components. 70% of fully automatic coffee machines produced in the world are Swiss-made. What’s your favorite way to drink coffee? 👇 ℹ️ https://bit.ly/4dPVNem

Pop. It started in Switzerland. In 1957, Swiss engineer Marc Chavannes co-invented what we now know as bubble wrap. The original idea was not to protect goods, but to create a textured wallpaper. While the concept did not succeed in its initial form, it was quickly repurposed. Its light, flexible and shock-absorbing properties made it ideal for protecting fragile items during transport. Today, it has become a global standard in packaging, illustrating how an unexpected shift in use can turn a failed idea into a widely adopted solution.

Discover the Lavaux Vineyard Terraces… 🍇🇨🇭 Spanning over 800 hectares, Lavaux is Switzerland’s largest continuous vineyard region and is a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2007. Overlooking Lake Geneva and the Alps, its iconic hillside terraces are rooted in a centuries-old tradition shaped by generations of winegrowers. Thanks to the famous “three suns”: direct sunlight, lake reflections, and heat stored in the stone walls, Lavaux wines have a truly distinctive character. ☀️ Narrow streets, authentic villages, lakeside views and traditional little “pintes” restaurants all bring the region to life. 🚞 From May to October, guided tours are available, with little trains carry hikers along the paths 🍷 Wine tastings and local specialties in traditional cellars make it even more unforgettable!
