The Inkwell

I really, really just want to play WoW. Like, thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much. *spreads arms really wide* My DVD drive is broken and I for some reason all of a sudden can't make my computer receive internet (y'know, from the wall. Despite the fact that our wireless works just fine) so uh. I guess my only option will be to reinstall WoW on the laptop before next weekend and hope it doesn't overheat in the middle of the event I'm hosting. :PPPPP I feel like I should be less frustrated about this, but y'know. I pay for this game. Monthly. I wonder if Blizzard will compensate me the week I haven't been able to play since it was their patch that borked everything up.

Also I guess it's easier stressing about WoW than stressing about not having anywhere to live next month. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Oh well. I've been writing a lot. Nothing useful, but it's something, right?

Also, this has bugged me for nearly two decades now:

How did we as a species ever figure out that we could eat eggs?

Every other weird item of food we eat, I totally get. But eggs? There's a lot of work involved in making them edible and tasty and thousands of years ago it was more chance that you'd stumble across one that didn't have a half-formed bird in it.

WTF, humanity.



... y'know, it's been over a month since scans_daily died, but I just can't find the willpower to remove it from my "watch" list. I keep hoping that one day, like Jean Gray, it will rise from the ashes only to retread the same, familiar territory over and over and....
