I usually don't need a reason to do this sort of thing; at least this time I got tagged by the_kitty_kat.
[01] - List your top 10 celebrity crushes. [02] - Put all of them IN ORDER of your lust for them. [03] - Say which movie/show it was that hooked you. [04] - Supply photos for said stars. [05] - Tag five people.
I don't tag. Let's continue.
Emma Watson Too soon?
Men's auxiliary: Jon Stewart, Jake Gyllenhall.
10. Erica Cerra - You may have seen her as Maya on Battlestar Galactica, Uta Refson on The L Word, or currently as Deputy Jo Lupo on Eureka. BSG, lesbian vampires, and uniforms. A perfect trifecta.
9. Ellen Degeneres - I recently rediscovered my appreciation for Ellen. I was rewatching season 5 of Ellen on youtube (the season after she came out) and realized it was really gay. It was so gay for its time, it would even be too gay now. It was still hilarious, but with added poignancy from the season-long arc between Ellen and her TV girlfriend. One day, I will inherit her mantle and become Our Fearless Leader. Which as you know means the dopest houses, the hottest ladies, and the most Emmys.
8. Claudia Black - She made her mark with the role of Aeryn Sun on Farscape, then moved to SG-1 as the irascible charmer Vala Mal Doran. No actress cries better than she. No actress can be as convincingly irreverent and as unflinchingly badass. Plus, she's an Aussie.
7. Ali Larter - Currently playing Nikki/Jessica on Heroes. Unfortunately, her character wasn't allowed to be quite the badass I'd hoped, but Larter will soon be appearing in Resident Evil: Extinction. Yeah.
6. Kate Walsh - Tall. Fake redhead, and not afraid to admit it. Catchphrase: "Kitty likes to scratch." Played a lesbian not once, not twice, but three time: In Under the Tuscan Sun (with Sandra Oh!), Peppermills, and Karen Sisco (the TV show). Good in scrubs or with a gun and a badge.
5. Rashida Jones - Currently playing Karen on The Office (US). Also filmed a pilot that got picked up for midseason by Fox called The Rules For Starting Over. Formerly appeared in the TNT series Wanted, Boston public, and the British seres NY-LON. Harvard grad (whatever). She's cute, sometimes falls on the wrong side of being fashion forward, and she has the thankless task of coming between Jim and Pam, resulting in an internet outcry of "OMG KARENZZZ SUCH A BEEEOOOOTCH!11!!!!1 I HATE HER SOOOOO MUCH ILU JOHN MARRY MEEEE."
4. Lucy Lawless - a.k.a. XENA, THE WARRIOR PRINCESS. (Actually, funny story--the cast of BSG was instructed not to call her "Xena" when she first came on set.) Currently known as Three on Battlestar Galactica, filmed a rejected pilot for ABC called Football Wives based on the British Footballers' Wives (but ABC renewed the actors' contract options, so there's hope), appeared on Veronica Mars, sings a bit on the side (usually in a cowboy hat and chaps with Renee O'Connor go-go dancing nearby). Criminally underrated comic timing. Come on. It's The Lawless. In person she's gracious, funny, and always appreciates her fans. Even the crazy mulleted lesbians with screen printed Xena shirts and homemade armor.
3. Katee Sackhoff - Currently playing Starbuck on Battlestar Galactica. This relative unknown came out of nowhere and socked the fangirls of the world with her cigar-chomping, oft-charming, dead-shooting rogue of a pilot. One need only listen to one radio interview with The 'Hoff to get a feel for her dirty-mouthed hometown girl vibe. Also appearing in NBC's The Bionic Woman playing--gasp!--the bad guy.
2. Tina Fey - Sexy smart. Or smart sexy? Currently plays Liz Lemon on the show she created and now executive produces, 30 Rock (which has been shortlisted for a Best Comedy Emmy). Hers were the best Weekend Updates; Mean Girls is awesome; 30 Rock is awesome. Currently filming Baby Mama with Amy Poehler. Glurg!
1. Zoë Bell - The ultimate woman. A New Zealand stuntwoman by day, a superhero by night, I'm sure of it. Go watch Double Dare if you haven't already. She got her start doubling Lucy Lawless when she was 18 years old. She eventually came to the states, where her big break came doubling Uma Thurman in Kill Bill 1 and 2. Tarantino was so taken with her, he wrote Death Proof to showcase her stunting skill. She was a nationally ranked gymnast in NZ; her day job includes being dropped off 21-story buildings, being set on fire, and riding on the hoods of cars going 80+ mph. Cheerful, charming, hilarious.
The only reason God used the Big Bang to create the universe was that so Zoë Bell would have suitable something to surf upon. God did this so that Zoë Bell would say "yes" when He asked her out. She turned Him down politely.
Zoë Bell once broke the world land speed record on a tricked-out bicycle.
When Zoë Bell goes bungee jumping, she stays in place and the rest of the world jumps up, because the rest of the world knows what is good for it.
Zoë Bell has no license to drive. She instead has the inherent right to drive. Once a highway patrolman challenged her on this. Two seconds later, he spontaneously combusted.
Zoë Bell can bring a man to multiple orgasm via repeated roundhouse kicks to the face.
Zoë Bell once wanted lamb chops. New Zealand's sheep industry is still recovering.
