Analysis of 80 COVID-19 hospitalized patients and 110 healthy controls, showing lower vitamin D levels in COVID-19 patients. The vitamin D receptor gene BsmI b allele and bb genotype were associated with hospitalization. Authors note this may be because individuals with the b allele have low levels of vitamin D.
