So last night was my...I don't even know the number. But anyway, went to (yes) yet another Adam concert. This one was at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, RI. Yes, the other side of the country. I pretty much said "fuck it" I'm taking vacation and going. Plus, there are/were 4 shows out this way, so why not.
HOLY SHITBALLS
My brain is FRIED. I really don't think this is going to make any sense so I'll do bullet points. Seriously, each show is SO much different, it's fabulous. It almost feels like it didn't happen, but it did.
Didn't have great seats, but they were good enough to see pretty much everything. Part of me was glad I wasn't in GA, but the other part is holy fuck, wow to be in GA last night would have been epic. Here we go...
- HOT/HUMID as FUCK inside venue (but then we know Adam likes it that way)
- Not great seat - upper balcony - in the middle, but on right side of stage
- Allison was amazing (except rude people who threw things at us for standing/dancing during her set. Like really? Security told US to sit and didn't say anything to them - fuckers)
- People were singing along to various songs during the break, which was really cool
- Show starts and we stood up - Fuck the asshats behind us
- Adam - vocally on, duh
- Then he starts getting goofy/frisky; doing silly dances and whatnot
- Reaches into crowd to ~test out waters I guess, one person wouldn't let go of arm (forget which song)
- Rest of show goes on as usual, but for some weird reason, he's focused on the right side more. Usually he works entire stage, right?
- Problems with sound, the Soaked video shows it...
- At one point he and the band toasted each other with HUGE shiny goblets, which he called "douchebag cups" which is hysterical; and said there was "water" in them (yeah, we all believe that)
- Band intro time (and seeing the video up close, Tommy was SO ready for that intro and it was funny because they're just so playing along now, but it's fun) but DAMN the unexpected happened
- Adam said Tommy likes girls, smirks, then gives him a full-on kiss
- During the encore of 20th Century Boy, he goes into/reaches into the audience again, and pretty much made out with a boy; didn't realize he macked with 2 people (the boy and a girl who was videotaping the show)
- Boy was cute twink-looking guy (blond/tall) and has boyfriend (so we overheard at the barricades)
- Blond boy at barricades was saying that Adam asked him to stay and meet up with him; security kicked us out of the lot
- At one point, Adam was close enough that I could have touched him, but I didn't do it; he was all shiny and glittered up (shocker I know)
