I know a lot of ppl hate this idea but I would absolutely love to have separate rooms w my spouse if I was married. like we can sleep in each others beds and probably would a lot of the time but also having your own space exclusively for your things which you can decorate however you want and don’t have to compromise on someone elses wants or worry about their mess and also can decompress there if u do want alone time would be amazing
I’ve been reading Agatha Christie and looking at her maps of fancy rich people houses where husbands and wives have completely separate adjoined bedrooms with a lockable door between them like “yeah, that’s the life”

People would accuse you of backposting your fics to seem cool and mysterious but then someone points out there are comments on there which are dated from long-deactivated accounts 100 years ago and it’s a whole thing
I would have to be like “yeah it’s a thing where I inherited this account from someone dead and he had a whole thing about passing the account on”
So the fannish-next-of-kin feature was really just devised to disguise the existence of vampires.

On Saturday I said to my partner, as I have said for months, “A ten thousand dollar a year raise would solve so many of my problems.”
As of this morning I was reluctantly looking for jobs because I love my job and don’t want to leave it, but see: $10k raise problem solver.
As of noon today this was no longer an issue, because my boss called me with the news that I was getting a $10K merit raise.
I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. This is roughly $200 extra per paycheck. Enough to pay off debt faster, rebuild my savings, and spend a weekend a month in Milwaukee getting obscenely laid. The sex I’m going to have on $200 extra per paycheck. You can’t even.
May all of you get the $10K raise your soul has yearned for. And whatever level of sex you can be satisfied with for $200.
