Light Bulb

I've burst apart
filaments exploding
pressure mounting too fast
to keep my thing shell
the famliair shape
Shards to the wind
flying haphazardly
to the 4 corners of a room
which was safety
and not strewn with danger
My head pooled in my hand
sticking to the skin
of my feet
The pristine white
now baptized in blood
which has somehow
turned against
me
There's no way to put
this puzzle
back together
The cost too much to bear
