Began this in 2020...finished with a whopping 2 titles.
In 2021, kept scrapping and finished with 4.
Things were tougher in 2022. The home situation got rocky for a while and left my longtime job. Yet, I managed to get through 8 titles.
This year, I got my work cut out for me. But things are looking up and the goal is clear: 16 titles.
Let's start with a note of thanks. I couldn't have pulled this off in the first place had Cinemonster not come up with this a decade ago. His list for this year and the rules can be found here:

Anyway, onto the rules:

Anyway, onto the rules:
31 films are required. Can start on September 15, must be finished by Halloween night.
6 countries (The Day=Canada; The Worthy=UAE; Dead and Buried=USA; Errementari=Spain; Dracula 3D=Italy; Dr Terror's House of Terrors=UK; The Golem=Israel)
8 decades (1950s=The Black Sleep; 1960s=Blood and Black Lace; 1970s=Tales from the Crypt; 1980s=Sweet Sixteen; 1990s=Vampire in Brooklyn; 2000s=Bug; 2010s=The Colony; 2020s=The Pope's Exorcist)

1 film with Robert Englund (Dead and Buried)
1 something is underground film (The Colony)
3 Satan/Devil centered films (The Pope's Exorcist, Satan's School for Girls, Errementari: The Blacksmith and the Devil)
1 Amicus film. (Dr. Terror's House of Terrors)
The worst Dracula film (by Letterboxd rating) that you haven't seen and can access. (I'd be joining the Dracula 3k crowd if it weren't for the access portion...so I guess team Dracula 3D!)
1 LGBTQ+ connected film (What Keeps You Alive)
5 Films from De Palma, Wes Craven, Ken Russell, Hitchcock and/or Moorhead & Benson. (De Palma=The Fury; Craven=Vampire in Brooklyn, Cursed; Russell=The Lair of the White Worm; Moorhead & Benson=Resolution)
2 Peter Cushing films (Dr. Terror's House of Terrors, Tales from the Crypt)
1 film based on a work of or invoking the name Bram Stoker (Dracula 3D)
1 film based on a Clive Barker story (Hellbound: Hellraiser 2)
1 film that was released the year that you turned 10 (Aging me, lol...Sweet Sixteen)
1 Mario Bava film. (Blood and Black Lace)
1 film with an 'x' in the title (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2)
And 1 Tobe Hooper Film (There must ALWAYS be a Hooper film)
(Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2)
From 21 on, they are freebies...I tried to pick a mix of good titles which I haven't seen before (with one exception). I do have a recent opening because I forgot that there was an X in Texas.
