Hooptober X: Women Make Horror

As before I'm going to aim for a film from every decade since the 1910s. And I don't enjoy the "worst" category so I'll skip it, like I do every year, but this time on purpose and in advance. I'm also going to try to watch as many of the short films at the end as "trailers" before longer, thematically related films. All first-time watches for me, and I'm starting early this year, on September 10th, to make this more enjoyable.

In making this list—and stacking it with 16 female directors—I realized a lot of women have made cannibal horror movies, and I'm developing a pet theory about it.
