My forced horror-movie puns may be getting worse and worse, but ten years into its run there's no sign of age in the always so wonderful Hooptober challenge. The first one arrived a few months after I got active here and the annual tradition has since become a great comfort to me during this time of year. Almost a decade of my life has passed and some big changes as well; moving, approaching marriage (which I'll have entered by the time this starts!) and loss of dear ones. To know that there's one tradition standing strong and steadfast as the days become shorter and shorter and the cold autumn-darkness creeps upon us means more than I think I realize sometimes.
