Cinemonster's Hooptober Nuen / Spook-a-Doodle Bracketology HalloweeNIT ’22
✅Hooptober Nuen: 39/39
✅HalloweeNIT: 31/31
✅Fran's SPOOKY BINGO: 36/36
Halloween is back! Almost! And as always I'm gonna od on horror to such a degree that I will be embarrassed by the end count. And as I have done the last couple of years I will be doing Cinemonster's Hooptober scavenger list. And as I did last year I will be doing my own little tournament/challenge of HalloweeNIT.
The Spook-A-Doodle Bracketology Tournament & Movie Club is a massive year long tournament of directors and teams of horror movies I run for a group of buddies as a big excuse for us all to watch horror movies together and discover new stuff. And because I overdo everything I do a separate smaller tournament with the teams that didn't make it called the HalloweeNIT. 31 films drawn from a 16 team tourney and all to be watched by October 31st.
Normally I wait until October 1st to count anything and I will probably go as close to that as I can hold out this year. But Cinemonster is starting Hooptober September 15th and the Bracketology tournament will be ending September 17th so I'm going to start HalloweeNIT at the same time to give people more time to complete it if they want. I might still be crazy enough to wait and try and squeeze a zillion movies into October but not everyone has to.
And this is really just a starting place. I'll be doing my friend Fran's challenge at the Something Awful forum assuming he does it again this year and I'll be watching a ton of other films that don't fit any of the challenge categories. I love Halloween and I love horror and this is really my favorite time of year. And as long as baseball or life's curveballs don't get in the way I hope to make it another great and crazy October.
