I've stated before that the annual Hooptober is the only Letterboxd challenge I regularly participate in. But while I've needed "overtime" to complete my list of movies in the past, last year was the first year where I didn't complete it at all as my October ended up being super busy.

So as "The Return" of the list title implies, I'm determined to get back in and complete the challenge this year. I've even front loaded the least Halloween-y horror films to encourage me to start watching when the challenge begins on September 15th instead of waiting for October 1st. I'm really happy with the selection of films I've put together for this (subject to change while still filling the requirements of course) and am looking forward to watching all these and see what everyone else is watching as well.
Full list of rules can be found here. What titles meet which requirements is in the notes. I'm doing the two main extra credit films but not the third, a documentary on IT, because I want to read the book before watching it and I'm pretty sure I won't have time to do that by the end of October (especially since I'll already be reading Salem's Lot). I don’t count extra credit films towards any of the other requirements.
