Cinemonster's annual horror challenge is back for its 12th year in a row and this is my 5th time participating. I'll occasionally be joined by my better half who is a bit of a scaredy cat, so we'll see how many spooks she subjects herself to. As always, hoping for this year to be the best yet. Rule 2: 5 zombie films
Rule 3: 3 cult or conspiracy horror films
Rule 4: 1 film with a black director and a black lead
Rule 5: 1 film from a Mexican or Central American director
Rule 6: 1 Canadian film
Rule 7: 1 Russian or former Russian State film
Rule 8: The most popular horror film from the 1940s that I haven't seen!
Rule 9: 2 post-apocalyptic horror films
Rule 10: 1 film with dreams or a dream as part of the plot (R.I.P David Lynch)
Rule 11: 1 'The animals are pissed at us' film
Rule 12: 1 Silent film
Rule 13: 4 horror films based on Novels
Rule 14: Any film from Cinemonster's favourite horror movies list SEE HERE
Rule 15: 1 film written by Ernesto Gastaldi
Rule 16: 1 film from 1932
Rule 17: Specifically watch The Wizard of Oz (1939) - I have already seen this.
And finally, Rule 18: 1 Tobe Hooper Film (There must always be a Tobe Hooper Film!)
In this year's horror challenge I have films spanning 11 decades, from at least 11 different countries, with 9 distinct spoken languages, plus a silent film from 1920s Japan! All in all this year is looking great!!!
