Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere
★★★★ Liked Watched

I had been looking forward to seeing this ever since it was announced, as Bruce Springsteen is one of my favorite artists, and I did mostly enjoy it. I got a little more emotional than I was expecting. It’s somewhat similar to most biopics, which is fine. It’s hard to make them standout and feel different from other biopics, which again, is not a huge complaint from me because I’m not expecting a lot. Jeremey Allen White was unsurprisingly amazing…

I really enjoyed this. I can understand it not being for everyone but it made me laugh a lot and that’s what I needed. It also had a really good message. It did feel a little low budget in certain scenes and the acting was maybe a little cringe or unconvincing at times, but I still had a great time watching it. Keanu Reeves was perfectly cast and BY FAR my favorite part of the movie.

Regretting You

It’s cringey and just isn’t that great, but it was entertaining and I genuinely had a good time watching it, so I don’t care. I also loved how invested the people in my theater were. Surprisingly made the experience better.

The Running Man
★★★½ Liked Watched

The Running Man was a solid action flick and the action scenes were actually really well done and entertaining, but it was a little bit messy. The social commentary was great, but also super scary considering how close we are to some of the elements in this kind of world, closer than I think most people are willing to admit. And that almost takes away some of the enjoyment for me. I used to be able to watch these kinds…

I absolutely loved this and I’m so glad it lived up to my expectations. As terrifying and depressing as this movie may be, there are still a lot of beautiful moments. The conversations between Ray and Pete are so sincere and profound and very true to today. They’re easily some of my favorite parts of the movie.

Cooper Hoffman and David Jonsson are amazing together and their chemistry and bond is what truly held this film together, at least for…

“The only person standing in your way is you.”

This is simply a masterpiece in filmmaking. One of the most impressive films of the decade, in my opinion. The way Darren Aronofsky portrays striving for perfection is quite literally perfection. The themes and metaphors in this are my favorite part, and obviously Natalie Portman’s incredible performance. Still, in my opinion, the best lead actress performance we’ve ever had the pleasure of witnessing. The effort she put into making this movie/role…
