I had been looking forward to seeing this ever since it was announced, as Bruce Springsteen is one of my favorite artists, and I did mostly enjoy it. I really enjoyed this. I can understand it not being for everyone but it made me laugh a lot and that’s what I needed. It also had a really good message. It did feel a little low budget in certain scenes and the acting was maybe a little cringe or unconvincing at times, but I still had a great time watching it. Keanu Reeves was perfectly cast and BY FAR my favorite part of the movie.

It’s cringey and just isn’t that great, but it was entertaining and I genuinely had a good time watching it, so I don’t care. I also loved how invested the people in my theater were. Surprisingly made the experience better.

I absolutely loved this and I’m so glad it lived up to my expectations. As terrifying and depressing as this movie may be, there are still a lot of beautiful moments. The conversations between Ray and Pete are so sincere and profound and very true to today. They’re easily some of my favorite parts of the movie.

This is simply a masterpiece in filmmaking. One of the most impressive films of the decade, in my opinion. The way Darren Aronofsky portrays striving for perfection is quite literally perfection.
