Hooptober #28: Sweden, 1920s, 1 film with an 'x' in the title

A rather sympathetic look at witchcraft and its history. The vignette with the interrogation and instruments of torture is really effective. If I were that actress, I would probably also be tempted to try out the thumbscrews as well.

I love that the director cast himself as the devil and had his actors literally kiss his ass.
