***************
Man, I really hated this movie.
And I'm a fan of Simon Pegg in general. But lordy have mercy, this was a boring pile of drivel.
I hated the voiceover narration of Pegg's thoughts. Just such lazy writing and did not work for the film medium. Really dragged and reduces the subtleties of the actor when you do use it poorly.
So - for me - there was nothing likable in this story. The main character was a pill. The story seemed stupid. The whole laundromat thing was trying so hard to be funny, but was just painfully boring. The voiceover drove me nuts. There was simply nothing interesting in it for me. And the ending was welcomed, but not satisfying.
It's a "no" for me, dawg.
Pass.
