***************
An unheralded, yet GREAT little horror film that is based on a work by the evil genius Clive Barker.
It starts off regular enough with a gruesome scene or two... but wait a little while, because it gets even MORE GRUESOME! That bathtub scene!?! Oh dear lordy.
This entire movie is HUGELY ELEVATED by the two lead actors - who are wonderful in this: both Jackson Rathbone and Shaun Evans are kind of magnetic onscreen. They give REALLY STRONG performances that you wouldn't expect to find in a mean little horror film like this.
And that ending... oh my, oh my, oh my.
Unrelenting and unforgiving.
Yikes.
...well worth checking out...
