***************
One of Tobe Hooper's last films and he showed that he still had it.
Of course he is helped a TON by his lead actress: Angela Bettis, who is always good in anything she does. A great actress who works her characters on a deep, empathetic level. She gives another great performance here as well.
A remake of the 1978 movie of the same title that was actually inspired by Hooper's "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"... so it came full circle in a way. Very cool.
Also, Hooper does a bit of a "tribute" (let's call it) to his famous Leatherface. I found that very cool as well. And it's all very delightfully BLOODY and GORY throughout.
Nice.
A pretty fun slasher with some gruesome and creative kills.
Hooper rocks it out!
Me likey.
(...interesting side note: this is the only movie that Sheri Moon Zombie has acted in that wasn't directed by her husband...)
