I have been working on this list technically since the beginning of 2017. As of writing, it’s early 2022, which means it took me five full years to complete this list. 
The year 2017 means a lot to me. Many important and memorable things happened to me in my personal life that year, including discovering my love of cinema. If it wasn’t for the fantastic slate of films from 2017, this list may not have existed.
